This is What's Up at this Resort, Playa

Playa De Las Americas is a place that is a place made for you, it is a purpose built resort with tourism being the driving force. It was built at the end of the 1960s it is close to neighbouring tourist hotspots Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje. Playa De Las Americas is not only one of the most popular places in Tenerife but it is a popular destination in Europe.

The main beach at the Playa De Las Americas is called the Playa de Guincho this is a beach that is very popular with surfers and windsurfers. It is recommenced that if you want to sunbath then you do it on the main part of the beach most of the others are quite rocky, also it has the most water sport options to offer and has a good choice of beach side bars, cafés and restaurants. The thing about the beaches is that they are man made and has had sand imported from Africa, this is because they didn't consider the sand nearby ideal as they are of darker tone because of the volcanic activity that happened in the past although there are black sand beaches located here.

Alot of the bars and restaurants along the strip are of English pub inspired food as many tourist are from the British countries.  Also Chinese food is very popular you could find many Chinese buffets along the strip but funnily enough Spanish food is difficult to find in this resort. It will be very hard to find them but there are some restaurant that serve traditional Paella and other Spanish cuisine.

Playa De Las Americas is the resort that never sleeps as it has activities all day that goes into the late night. Late at night this is the main hotspot in Tenerife as the night life is perfect for those who want to make the day continue.

All you need to do is go along the strip where you will see it a washed with bars and restaurants but you may be more interest in the clubs, as clubbing scene is very big in this resort. With that said you're going to need somewhere to stay after a long night and don't worry as Playa De Las Americas has some of the best apartments in Tenerife.

There are a few together things in the resort that you can do such as going to the main water park of the resort. It is called Octopus Aqua Park which is another place where you can forget all your troubles and have fun, with the many water slides, wave machines and lazy pools at your leisure.  There is a national park nearby which is well worth the visit. There are also zoos, minigolf courses, gardens, and go-karting. If you want to relax and get away from everything you could try your hand at fishing at the tranquil fishing spots.

If you want to venture out and see some of Tenerife has to offer. You could go on a Jeep Safari, go on a tour of the enormous Mount Tiede and the national park that it is located in, whale watching and many other activities that are very much different from the hustle and bustle that the resort shows.
